Our Ingredients

At Hopkins Baking Company, we think flavor comes first and ingredients always matter. We believe high quality, natural organic ingredients produce wholesome food and happy people. We make all of our treats ourselves, completely from scratch, which means you won’t find any factory-made mixes, frostings or fillings in our pantry.

That also means:

  • There are no preservatives added to our food, ever. You can pronounce every ingredient written on our labels.

  • We do not use artificial dyes of any kind.

  • Bioengineered food ingredients and genetically modified organisms have no place in our bakery. Non-GMO is the only way to go for every single ingredient we use, from our large 25-pound bags of organic flour to our tiniest natural sprinkles.

  • All of our dairy products (butter, cream cheese, and milk to name a few) are organic and free of growth hormones, always.

  • Our flours are all unbleached and organic with one exception; we use King Arthur’s Measure-for-Measure gluten-free flour for our gluten-free cake options.

  • All of our various sugars (granulated, powdered, brown, honey, agave) are organic.

  • The produce we use, both fresh and frozen, is always organic.

  • Meats used in savory items are always organic and hormone-free.

  • Our speciality ingredients such as nuts, chocolate, maple syrup and vanilla are all organic as well.
